We often see Sea Lions, Seals, Bald Eagles, Otters, Sea Stars and Sea Urchins, and even Whales!  All our tours are limited to 6 guests guaranteeing you a personal experience.

Daily Shoreline Kayaking Tours

Our breathtaking Shoreline Kayaking Tours depart from Snug Cove on Bowen Island at 10am and 2pm daily.  This kayaking tour is suitable for all levels of ability and popular with beginner paddlers and families.  More experienced paddlers join us too, benefiting from our guide’s kayaking expertise and local knowledge.

Full Moon Kayaking Tours depart Snug Cove around sunset on a few occasions each season.  You will enjoy the tranquil stillness of the early evening and watch as the full moon rises over Cypress Mountain.  Look for bioluminescence as you glide across the darkening waters, an unforgettable experience.

Spectacular Sunset Kayaking Tours

Our Sunset Kayaking Tours run from the west side of Bowen Island, launching at Tunstall Bay.  Watch the flaming sun drop into the beautiful ocean, with a sky rich in colour.  This relaxing kayaking tour lasts 2 1/2 hours and we can drive you each way.

Memorable Group Kayaking Tours

Since 1996, Bowen Island Sea Kayaking has been leading Group Tours, for both novice and experienced kayakers. We welcome international visitors and ESL students, school groups, girl guides, scouts, corporate groups, and private groups.  We offer discounts for groups of 10 guests or more and special discounts for school groups.  

Bowen Island Sea Kayaking guides are trained in safety and well versed in island history. While navigating the shoreline, they will share their knowledge of the geological forces that created Howe Sound, Bowen Island’s early history, the Union Steamship era, industrialization, and the revival of the region’s marine ecosystem. 

Bowen Island Sea Kayaking maintains a guide to participant ratio of 1:6 for all kayaking tours.
