Group Shoreline Kayak Tours
Part of what makes the business of kayaking fun for us is sharing it with people of all ages and abilities. We welcome overseas visitors and ESL students, wedding parties, families, businesses, and school groups. Our tours can take up to 30 paddlers in a single group.
Our breathtaking Group Shoreline Tours take you north on a journey of discovery along the rocky coastline. Take in the views and experience encounters with wildlife such as seals, sea birds, and occasionally sea lions, dolphins and whales.
Our standard departure time for tours is at 10am and 2pm, if you need we can adjust the start time with some notice. The tours normally last between two and are three hours in duration, depending upon what you are looking for. All groups should arrive with us at least 30 minutes before the start time.
We start the tour with on-land instruction including fitting personal floatation devices and performing a paddle demonstration. We will discuss group safety on the water to make sure the tour goes smoothly. Our paddler to guide ratio is 6:1, this allows us to ensure your safety on and off the water. You will never be far from one of our guides on the water!
Your guide will be happy to share some paddling tips to ensure you have the best trip possible. They are always on the lookout for amazing wildlife to share with you. The tour launches directly from our docks at Bowen Island Marina. Your guide will help set up all the boats and ensure you are all sitting comfortably before departing.

Connect with Nature on a School Group Tour
With small ratios of 6 students to 1 Guide, we promise to make it an educational and memorable outdoor experience for your students. Students are paired in double kayaks which are safe, stable, and easy to paddle with a buddy. We can customize the tour for students with no prior paddling experience or venture further for those who are more confident.
Grade 6-8: Learn basic paddling skills, play games and have fun while experiencing the rich natural environment of Bowen Island and Howe Sound.
Grade 9 and above: Build upon existing kayaking skills, and learn some new ones. Learn about the history and heritage of Bowen Island, the local geography, and the marine ecology of Howe Sound.
ESL Students: We work with ESL groups every year. Language is no barrier to a memorable day on the water.

Neoprene booties. Running shoes are ok

Tips are always appreciated by our guides and dock staff. If desired, a gratuity can be added to your reservation in advance, paid at the shop or given as cash. Thank you!
