Sunset Tour – 2.5 hrs

Kayak with us at the most spectacular time of day when the sky is rich with colour and wildlife is most active. We depart from Tunstall Bay on the west side of Bowen to witness the sun setting on the water. In late summer, we are sometimes surprised by the sparkle of bioluminescence in the wake of a paddle stroke.

Advance reservations are required.  If transport to Tunstall Bay is needed please call to pre-arrange. 

The tour lasts for 2.5 hours and is suitable for all skill levels. Families are welcome.

We meet at Tunstall Bay on the west side of Bowen Island. We will have all the equipment needed with us.  Popular with locals, Tunstall Bay is great for swimming and beautiful sunsets. After a brief check-in and orientation on the beach, your guide will help you load and launch your kayak.

Remember, temperatures will start to drop as the sun goes down, so dress appropriately.

Dates, Times and Prices

Departure times will vary based on the time of sunset.  Generally we look to be on the water 2 hours before the sun sets.  Call or email the office to confirm times.

Two person min., $97 +GST each, advance reservation required.

• Swimming apparel
• Change of clothing
• Warm day: Synthetic board shorts, hiking shorts, t-shirts 
• Cold day: Synthetic layers, long sleeve shirt, long pants
• Light weight wind and/or rain jacket
• Hat and suncreen
• Sunglasses with “croakies” or keepers
• Water bottle
• Snacks
• Waterproof case or ziplock bag for cell phone, camera, valuables
• Neoprene booties, watershoes, or running shoes

Tips are always appreciated by our guides and dock staff. If desired, gratuity can be added to your reservation in advance,  paid at the shop or given as cash ~ Thank you!
