Shoreline Tour – 3 hours
Our breathtaking and well-loved Shoreline Tour departs from Snug Cove and heads either north to Finisterre Island in view of the Coastal Range and the Lions or heads south along the rugged coastline to Apodaca Beach, Bowen’s only Marine Park.
Prepare for close encounters with wildlife. This season we are blessed to have colonies of sea lions all along the shoreline of Bowen Island. We also see Bald Eagles, seals and seabirds, including Scoters, Goldeneye and Buffleheads. The inter tidal zone is covered in purple sea stars and green sea urchins. The island’s plentiful deer wander into view above the beaches and, a few times every season, lucky paddlers find themselves a few hundred metres from a pod of White-sided Dolphins or a couple of Orcas.
Come and paddle with us this season for an unforgettable paddling experience.
This tour is suitable for all levels including families with children. We start with on-land instruction to ensure that you are comfortable and confident before launching your kayak. Our paddler to guide ratio is 6:1 ensuring your safety on and off the water. Your guide will be happy to share some paddling tips to ensure you have the best trip possible and they’re always on the lookout for amazing wildlife to share with you. We launch directly from our docks at Bowen Island Marina. Your guide will help set up your boat and ensure you are sitting comfortably before departing.
