The idea of a kayak shop on Bowen Island made perfect sense from the beginning. Bowen has always been a place for rest, relaxation and recreation. Perfectly located near Vancouver and yet once you step off the ferry, you feel transported to a quieter place.
Groups and lessons
Every year we invite school groups to join us in the spring when they are wrapping up their school year and ready to get outdoors and enjoy an adventure. For many ESL students, we’re one of the first activities they try in the region as they experience living in BC.
2.Races, tours and wildlife spotting
Tours have been part of Bowen Island Sea Kayaking since day one but it took a few years for the Round Bowen Sea Kayak Race to become official. No matter what your speed or abilities, there is alway great wildlife to see and fun to be had around the island.
3. Today
Today we have a lot to be proud of and thankful for. Thank you to the staff that join us every year. The guides, dockhands and office staff help us run the shop, rentals, tours, lessons and summer camps. We couldn’t do this without you.
